Welcome to my Blog!

I produce and host a show on TVI (Tamil Vision International) called Cross Roads. The intersection of Tamil Canadian and Canadian Tamil cultural roads; a discussion forum live on air.

I bring some of the discussions to this blog to reach out to the folks of various ethnic groups and others who face the same situations.

Today’s generation of Canadian (Tamil)s are vibrant, vigilant, bold and are trekking fast in a world that is NOT very familiar to the older generations. They are also in a very unique situation in comparison to their fellows of various other ethnic groups.. perhaps because of their unique cultural values, traditions, and more so because of our need to live in a foreign land in spite of all the heavenly pleasures of their sweet homeland.. thanks to the many wars, ethnic crisis, poor living conditions or the various other compelling factors, we’ve been forced out. Indisputably, almost in all cases, we chose to move out of our homeland for the well being of our children, our next generation. It is the well being of that generation this show/blog is targeting/discussing.

Cross Roads is a forum for the youth and parents. Today’s youth are seemingly beginning to become a race of their own. There are various factors contributing to that segregation. Cross Roads attempts to break the wall, club the ice and bridge the gap. Cross Roads will reach out to the new generation.. embrace their lifestyle and throw the spot light on their victories, struggles and needs.

Cross Roads will be fun filled, light noted, serious when need to be and definitely vibrant!
Beware! Beware of the many new things that you are going to learn about the new generation. Some might send ripples through the otherwise calm ethnic communities here. Some might call for waves of criticism. And most certainly some will make you proud.

Sit back, read, listen, watch, take note, join in, discuss, understand and comment.

This is Cross Roads!
